Quiz makers with an MCP server
Which of the 28 quiz makers we review let your own AI assistant build, edit, publish and analyze content, what each MCP really covers, and what it costs.
An MCP server lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT work directly inside a quiz tool: create a quiz, change it, publish it and read the results, all from a conversation. We checked all 28 tools on this site for an MCP server on October 6, 2026, using only what each vendor publishes. Below you will find why this matters, what to look for, and a tool by tool comparison.
Disclosure: Quiz Maker Review is run by the team behind Riddle and Qzzr. Both are checked with the same method and sources as every other tool on this page.
Why MCP is the future of quiz making
Almost every quiz maker now has a built-in AI generator. Type a topic, get ten questions. The problem is that this built-in AI knows nothing about you. It does not know your brand voice, your products, your audience, last quarter’s campaign results or the article your quiz is supposed to sit next to. It starts from zero every time, so the output is generic.
Your own AI assistant is different. Over time it learns how your company writes, what you sell, who your readers are and what worked before. It can read your briefs, your style guide, your product catalog and your analytics. An AI that knows you and your company will always generate better content than any built-in AI tool. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that connects that assistant to the quiz tool, so the knowledge and the building happen in one place.
With a good MCP connection you can ask your assistant to turn this week’s top article into a personality quiz in your house style, build five product finder variants for an A/B test, fix a typo in a live quiz, or pull last month’s completion rates and explain the drop-off. The work moves from clicking through an editor to describing what you want, while a person still reviews and approves the result.
What a good MCP should cover
Not every MCP is equal. Some only read data, some build a small subset of the editor. These are the five questions we ask of every quiz maker MCP:
- Does it build everything? Every content type, question type, logic rule, result page and design setting the normal editor offers, or only a basic subset.
- Can people review and edit the result? Content built by the AI should open in the normal editor, so your team can check and polish it before it goes live.
- Can it make live edits? Changing a published quiz without rebuilding it, so fixes and updates are quick and safe.
- Can it read stats and create reports? Views, completions, answer breakdowns and leads, so the assistant can tell you what is working and why.
- What does it cost? Whether the MCP is on every plan or only on expensive tiers, and whether AI use is metered with credits.
Riddle’s MCP covers all nine Riddle content types and nearly every block, setting and logic option in the Creator. Everything the AI builds opens in the normal editor and stays fully editable by hand, it can make live edits, publish, and pull stats for reports. It is included in every plan at no extra charge, and AI creation through the MCP is unlimited. Qzzr has announced an MCP with the same full access, included in every plan. Read our Riddle review.

Quiz makers without an MCP
We found no official MCP server and no announcement of one for these 13 tools: Interact, Outgrow, Involve.me, Opinion Stage, LeadQuizzes, Woorise, Thrive Quiz Builder, Quiz-maker.com, Wayground, Pinpoll, Happy Contests, Opinary, FanQ. Some of them appear in Zapier’s MCP catalog, which only reaches the actions of their Zapier integration, not the quiz editor. Wayground blocks automated checks, so its entry is unverified.
Does anyone charge extra for MCP?
No vendor we checked states an extra charge for MCP use. Riddle includes its MCP in every plan, and AI creation through it is unlimited (the AI creations listed per plan on Riddle’s pricing page apply to the built-in AI engine). Jotform and Tally say their MCP is free on every plan, including free plans. Perspective includes it on every plan but does not say whether MCP use draws on its monthly AI credits. Most others do not mention cost at all, so check before you build a workflow around one.
How we checked
We read each vendor’s own MCP pages, help articles and developer docs on October 6, 2026, and only list what they state. We recheck every week as part of our pricing check, and each review has its own “AI assistant and MCP access” section. If a tool also needs a developer API, see our API comparison of all 28 quiz makers.
